The bluefin tuna is a species of tuna from the family Scombridae. The species belong to the order Scombriformes and class Actinopterygii. The species declared endangered by the IUCN Red List. It is widely known as the northern Bluefin Tuna or Atlantic Bluefin Tuna. The individual bluefin which exceeds weight 150 Kg is known as the Giant Bluefin Tuna that formerly called tunny. The species is extinct from the Black Sea.

Bluefin Tuna Diet
The young bluefin eats tiny zooplankton, and their prey size increases as they grow their size. After getting adulthood, they start eating large bony fishes and invertebrates. A 5-year-old female can spawn 5 million eggs while a female from 15-20 years can carry up to 45 million eggs. The hatching occurs in two days without any parental care.
